Player Ratings

After a player has competed in his/her first tournament sanctioned by the Association, he/she will be assigned a player rating. This rating will be adjusted after each tournament the player takes part in from then on.

In Australia, there is a National Rating System which includes players from all States. An explanation of the National Rating System has been included in this site.

The National Ratings System necessitates the maintenance of a National Ratings file, an electronic computer listing of rating information for each player. This includes the Player Name, State Association, Number of Rated Games, Date of Last Rated Tournament Played and Player Rating. The National Ratings List is maintained on the National website as are NSW Ratings in Rating Sequence
