Dear Fellow Scrabblers, I am pleased to announce the details of 9th Causeway Scrabble Challenge. It will be held from 1st to 5th December 2010 at Zon Regency Hotel, Johor Bahru. There will be 3 Divisions this year, namely Premier, Masters and Open. All 3 Divisions will play a total of 45 games over 5 days. *Premier Division*: In the Premier Division, there will be 10 teams of 5 players each and the format is 1 Full Round Robin against the other 9 teams. In other words, all Premier players will play against 45 different opponents. The 10 teams are as follows: 1) Australia 2) Canada 3) New Zealand 4) Nigeria 5) Thailand 6) UK 7) USA 8) Causeway Team A 9) Causeway Team B 10) Causeway Team C Please note that the winner of 8th Causeway Scrabble Challenge Open Division, Michael Akonor from Ghana, will be invited to be part of Causeway Team. The top rated player of Malaysia and the top rated player of Singapore will also be invited to Causeway Team. The qualification for the players for Causeway Teams will be based on both WESPA and local ratings and the cut-off dates will be *31 October 2010*. Players must play a *minimum* of* 60* tournament games in 2010 to be eligible to be invited to Causeway Team.
